The Fitz is more than a name. It's a philosophy rooted in the science of individuality. It reflects our belief that confidence isn’t cosmetic—it’s deeply personal. And personalized care should be accessible for every skin tone, every person.
When you feel good in your own skin, it shows. That's the ripple effect we're here to create: an inner glow that starts at The Fitz and follows you into every part of life.
It all started with
a feeling.
Suzie and Michelle, co-founders, mothers, and nurses, have always trusted their instincts. In 2020, that intuition led to a defining conversation where they each wrote down the same vision. A space where people feel better walking out than they did walking in, whether or not they received a treatment. A bigger tent. A warmer welcome. A new kind of medspa.
The Fitz was born from the motto, “Trust your gut, the answers are already there.” When board-certified Medical Director Dr. Tatiana Batista joined to train our team at the highest clinical standards, she helped shape The Fitz into one of Chicago’s most trusted destinations for aesthetic wellness.
Our team brings backgrounds in critical care, pediatrics, and more. But we chose aesthetics for one reason. We believe in helping people feel powerful in their own skin.

Michelle Shetty, BSN, RN, is one of Chicago’s most sought-after and trusted aesthetics practitioners, known for her patient-first philosophy and reputation for creating natural results.
As co-founder of The Fitz, Michelle's unique approach to facial harmonization and balance goes beyond traditional beauty: she prioritizes forming genuine relationships with patients and celebrates their unique journeys. Her holistic treatment plans often combine injectables with skincare, lasers, nutrition, and wellness to build confidence from the inside out.
Michelle’s reputation for precision and her calm, caring demeanor was developed over nearly a decade of experience in pediatric cardiac intensive care. Michelle is a national trainer for Galderma, where she educates other providers on the safe and effective use of dermal fillers and neuromodulators, and serves on the Friends of Prentice advisory board, which funds innovative initiatives that benefit the lives of women and infants around the world.
A graduate of the University of Virginia School of Nursing, Michelle lives in Chicago with her husband and their three daughters.

Suzie is a board-certified Family Nurse Practitioner with advanced degrees from Fairfield University and Loyola University Chicago. A North Shore native with a loyal following across the Midwest, she’s known for her signature approach—natural, balanced, and grounded in trust.
Before co-founding The Fitz, Suzie worked across both in-patient care and aesthetics. She envisioned a space that felt different from the rest. Less clinical, more connected. Less transactional, more human. The Fitz was built around that feeling.
Suzie brings a steady hand and a sharp eye to everything she does. Whether she’s mentoring a teammate or guiding a patient through their first treatment, she leads with clarity, warmth, and a sense of humor that puts people at ease.
Outside of the clinic, you’ll find her with her family, walking Chicago’s lakefront, or perfecting her caramel recipe (which is rumored to be flawless).

Brazilian-born and Chicago-trained, Dr. Tatiana Batista (“Dr. B”) is a board-certified physician with over 15 years of experience. She earned her Doctor of Osteopathy from the Chicago College of Osteopathic Medicine, shaping her holistic approach to care. She also holds a Master’s in Biomedical Sciences from the University of Illinois, where she conducted four years of research.
A pioneer in the Wellness space, Dr. B was one of the first in Chicago to introduce hormone replacement therapy (HRT) into the medspa setting. Her treatment philosophy blends aesthetic care with internal wellness, offering a more integrated, whole-patient approach. She was also among the region’s earliest adopters of regenerative therapies in aesthetic medicine.
Known for her deep listening and clinical precision, Dr. Batista is committed to education and training. She’s taught foundational neurotoxin and filler techniques to medical residents, coached injectors through Revance, and now mentors nurse practitioners and estheticians in advanced techniques and safety-first practices within her own clinical setting.
At The Fitz, Dr. B leads with curiosity, integrity, and a relentless commitment to innovation—bringing a global perspective to every treatment and a collaborative energy to the practice.
